How to find Shobrooke Park Gardens

Please scroll down for directions.

Please note the house and gardens are private and not currently open to the general public. Groups can be accommodated by prior arrangement with a donation to the Gardening Trusts. Please note if you just turn up you will be refused admission and be escorted off the site after you have provided satisfactory identification. To arrange a group visit please telephone Clare on 01363775153 or email us at Clare@shobrookepark.com. The details below are for the use of booked groups.

The Garden is on the North side of the Park, the entrance is off the main Crediton to Tiverton road, not off the Shobrooke road.

Come out of Crediton on the Tiverton road, past Morrison’s, Mole Avon, Rugby Club, and the football field.  At Creedy bridge continue straight ahead towards Tiverton, (NOT right to Shobrooke). Half way up the hill turn right at North Lodge, a turning that you will not see until you are almost on top of it. A small sign says ‘Shobrooke Park Private Entrance’. If you find yourself at Nomansland Cross at the top of the hill turn round and try again.

If you come via Tiverton then we are half way down the last hill before Crediton. You come round a marked hairpin bend then up a short steep bit to Nomansland Cross then we are on the left just after the lay-by half way down the hill.

Having turned off the road and come in at North Lodge you drive straight ahead, down the bumpy track and park in the old cobbled stable yard. Please walk out of the right hand corner (South West) of the yard. You will come down to the site of the old house and our black bungalow. For large groups other parking arrangements will be forwarded to you.
