Access to the South part of the Park is available free of charge courtesy of the Countryside Commission. Your car can be parked on the road side as shown by the solid green arrows. Access is on foot only and we regret that disabled access is poor as we need to stop our sheep straying. Only the South part of the Park is available for public access. The North part is private. Please do not trespass. For a map of permitted access click here.
To reach Shobrooke Park leave Crediton on the Tiverton road, past Morrison’s, Mole Avon, Rugby Club, and the football field. Just after Creedy bridge turn right to Shobrooke village. There is a lay-by in 200 meters on your left. Or drive on past South Lodge (no access!) to the top of the hill and park opposite the war memorial at the five cross way.
If you come via Tiverton then you come round a marked hairpin bend then up a short steep bit to Nomansland Cross then turn right to Shobrooke village and stop at the next five cross way with the war memorial.
Please note the house and gardens (red arrow) are private and not currently open to the general public. Please see the garden page (click here) for more information. Groups can be accommodated by prior arrangement with a donation to the Gardening Trusts. Please note if you just turn up, without a booking in advance, you will be refused admission and be escorted off the site after you have provided satisfactory identification. To arrange a group visit please telephone Clare on 01363775153 or email us at Clare@shobrookepark.com.
