Shobrooke Park Estate
Public Access to Shobrooke Park

There are two sorts of paths on the Shobrooke Park Estate. 'Rights of Way' and 'Permissive Paths'. The 'Rights of Way' are always open to the public but very occasionally will need to be diverted for work to be done to to maintain them in good condition.  'Permissive Paths' are additional places to walk  but need to be closed at times when they interfere with the running of the farm. When cows and calves or ewes and lambs are in the fields you may well find them closed. Dogs and farm animals do not mix well. We have regular occurrences of dogs chasing and sometimes killing lambs and ewes. So to keep the peace the permissive paths will sometimes be closed. Also it is necessary to close them an a regular basis to ensure they do not become statutory 'Rights of Way'. If you are in the fields with farm animals please keep your dog on a lead and walk round the animals. You may deviate from the 'Right of Way' to avoid the animals.

There is disabled access for wheel chair users at the Creedy Bridge entrance with a RADAR key and also at the East lodge Entrance.

In addition the area in the Park South of the Ponds is available as a 'Permissive Access Area'.
We allow the public to wander at will in the area either side of the 'Right of Way'.
Please keep your dog on a lead if there are sheep in the field.
If there continues to be occurrences when dogs chase the sheep or kill the lambs this permissive access could be withdrawn.
The area North of the large Pond is available to the fishermen who hold yearly permits. Please do not trespass North of the Pond.
