Shobrooke Park Estate

There are two sorts of paths on the Shobrooke Park Estate. 'Rights of Way' and 'Permissive Paths'.
The 'Rights of Way' are always open to the public but very occasionally will need to be diverted for work to be done to to maintain them in good condition. You may deviate from the 'Right of Way' to avoid the animals

'Permissive Paths' are additional places to walk  but need to be closed at times when they interfere with the running of the farm. When ewes and lambs are in the fields you may well find them closed. Dogs and farm animals do not mix well. We have regular occurrences of dogs chasing and sometimes killing lambs. So to keep the peace the permissive paths will be closed. Also it is necessary to close them an a regular basis to ensure they do not become 'Rights of Way'. If you are in the fields with farm animals please keep your dog on a lead and walk round the animals. The permissive path from the river Creedy to Westacott cottages is currently closed.
